The business was established in January 2004 and continues to grow in reputation in providing a high quality service connecting UK companies with potential clients in Russia and Ukraine.

The Management Team

Piers Olsen - Director
Graduated with Honours from the UK and Ukraine in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Worked in the Valve and Flange industries, before exporting generator sets worldwide and to the UN. For 11 years he worked at Emerson Control Techniques providing Automation Solutions to a wide range of industries. Responsibilities included sales to Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is a Chartered Engineer Eur Ing CEng and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE) and the Institute of Export (MIEx).


Richard Olsen - Director
Beginning in shipping for P&O, he became a full member of the Chartered Institute of Shipbrokers. He moved into the steel industry running several companies and subsequently was a Director of Robert Smith Steels now part of now part of the ArcelorMittal Group.


Eddie Kirk - Marketing Communications Manager
Eddie has a wealth of experience in the Industrial Automation business. Beginning at GEC in Electrical Engineering for 20 years, he then became Managing Director for the IMO Jaguar Drives business, developing the sales and marketing strategy, to create the largest independent drives company of the 1990's. In 1997 he moved to Control Techniques as Vice President for Marketing - Western Europe. He now runs his own independent Marketing consultancy Kirk MarCom Ltd, helping key clients develop their business through effective marketing communications.

Vlad Zhuk – Senior Business Consultant – Russia
Graduating from Moscow University in Electrical Drives and Technologies with honours, he worked with Omron Holland and Russia and then Emerson - Control Techniques as General Director. This involved creating the sales, marketing and technical strategies, implementation of the repair network and new business development.


Katerina Logutova – Strategic Marketing Consultant - Eastern Europe
Graduating from Chelyabinsk State University in International Relations - a specialist in Asian Culture, she studied at the State Academy of the Russian Government in Management. She is qualified in Practical Marketing from Ural Business School and has been working as Marketing Director for a large Russian Industrial Automation company for the past two years.

Anatoliy Krammarov – Head of International Relations
Graduating from Donetsk University in English, he worked as translator for local television stations and has travelled extensively throughout Ukraine, Russia and UK. He also has been involved within the digital media industry and worked on local governmental projects.


Elena Likhovava – Translations Manager
Graduating from Zaporozhye State University in Foreign Economics and English with honours, she has worked in several companies as translator and advisor including four years with the Ukraine Security Service. Recently she has returned to Zaporozhye University as an English teacher.


Yakov Voronkov – New Business Director – Ukraine
Graduating in applied mathematics, physics and advanced programming from Tomsk, Russia, he worked as Senior Business Systems Analyst for Khartyzsk Tube Plant, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. He then worked as a consultant for many large regional end users optimising their business systems. Following being promoted to Business Director in Kaliningrad he moved to the University of Toronto, Canada - David Dunlap Observatory (DDO) as Site Engineering Director, responsible for all software, hardware and automation systems.
